Shopping For Boys

If you already have a son then you know the struggles of finding very nice things for an affordable price, here in Jamaica its even more difficult and the reason for that is I really don't know I guess people like selling girl clothing more because the truth is female buy clothing more so that's a big market, most boys, on the other hand, do not care and sometimes if you don't notice will wear 1 jeans 3 or 4 times for the week. back to the struggles, I personally have had a hard time finding clothes for my son and because of that whenever I see something nice, even if I don't intend to buy clothes if I can afford it, I just buy it.

I live in a house with only females so you can imagine my struggles for the first few months of my son's life, I only bought onesies and Pin-under because those are easier to find, but then a baby cant live in pin-under what about when he's going out I had to figure out something and I had to do it fast because my son was growing fast. I started by going Downtown, I went to several wholesale stores and they all sold the same things and the quality wasn't up to the standard I liked so I started asking around about boys stores and each store I went had the usual old fashion boy stuff. I ended up buying from the Arcade where I got some unique clothing but the price was ridiculous so that's definitely not a place I would recommend if you are on a budget, some suits range between $3500jmd to  $7500jmd ( pants and shirt only).

I started looking at different options,  Baby Bop had some nice and unique items but the prices ain't that nice, I started to classify the few stores that sold clothes for boys based on occasions. so if you need just 1 nice suit for an outing yea Arcade or Baby Bop are good options but if you need to buy in great quantities I have found few online stores very affordable with good quality items. I will list the stores below, even though I have good experiences with these online stores ensure you read the reviews on the items you would like to purchase before you do.

P.s I also found some good quality items in Pricesmart that was very affordable, it's my first choice for local shopping.

If you do check out the stores let me know what you think of the prices and quality of the stuff in the comments or if you know of a store that sells good stuff that was not mentioned feel free to leave it in the comment section.

Clingy little Boy

"He's a great baby boy, very adorable, smart and very Handsome", I repeat this to myself everyday, it keeps me going through days like this. so for the past 2 weeks Jayzen (my son) has gotten extremely clingy, I mean I can't do anything without him attached to my side like a useless extra hand. He doesn't want to stay on the bed, if I put him to creep on the floor he gets bored after 2 minutes then start crying until I pick him up.he fell off the bed twice  already which was to date the scariest thing I have gone through since his birth so to avoid it happening again I try to keep him with me or on the floor at all times. 6 months and creeping has it's ups but it also has it's drawbacks,  he tries to follow me around all the time and this would not be a problem if only he would do it without the crying. I'm only human and I get annoyed very easily  ( something  I need to work on) so I would just pick him up and try to do what I have to with him. ...

My Prenatal experience

Prenatal Journey After finding out that you have another passenger on your bus the next step is to schedule your first appointment to check how far along you are, if you are like me you would have already known but this first visit it's still a very important one. Choosing a Prenatal facility was easy for me because I already knew where I wanted to give birth from the moment I found out I was Pregnant,  but if you are unfamiliar with your options you have to do some Google research or ask around " best referrals you can get is from people with experience" Even though I knew where I wanted to have my prenatal checkups done I was new to the procedures and process to get started so I had to ask for help, my friend had just gone through her own experience a few years back. We went to the clinic and ask a few questions and I learn a few things from that first experience like you have to be between 8-16 weeks to start the clinic and at that time I was only 5 weeks but I...
